Zaphod's Just Zis Guy, You Know?

Like Zaphod Beblebrox,the pan-galactic gargle blaster guzzling President of the Universe, I’m really just this guy, you know? Just a guy with two heads.

In one <head>, I am a developer, a code monkey, a problem solver, and a complete nerd. I’m a regular expressor of regular expressions, and I’m not ashamed to say it. I love web standards, I breathe CSS selectors, I dream in jQuery, and sweat WordPress (it’s kinda gross, I know).

In the other I’m a designer, a typophile, a photographer, a pixel pusher, a color lover, and an aesthete. My favorite games are guessing fonts and spotting photoshop disasters. I pine after letterpressed designs, and I spend way too much time stealing paint swatches from Home Depot.

But really, I’m just this guy, you know?

Cuizine

What: Create a group-buying website for Cuizine.
I Did Some: Wordpress development, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Photos
Notes: This site does a great job of combining delicious content with awesome deals in a clean and easy to use layout. I got to help Cuizine take their design to the web using a wordpress group buying platform and quite a bit of front end magic. I also took most of the tasty looking photos!

What: Establish a web presence for Blue Windows, a local botique gift and apparel shop.
I Did Some: Web strategy consulting, Design, HTML/CSS, Javascript/jQuery, Wordpress Development
Notes: Blue Windows is a distinctive store that reflects the personalities of its owner and employees — the big challenge here was to create a site that embodied that whilst creating a new outlet for the creative spirit that Blue Windows embodies.

Knabe.com

What: Web design and WordPress based CMS for LA City Supervisor, Don Knabe. Project managed by Chamber Advocacy.
I Did Some: Design, HTML/CSS, Javascript/jQuery, Wordpress Development
Notes: WordPress continues to amaze me with its flexibility as a CMS. Plenty of custom plugins, post-types, and functions allow Supervisor Knabe’s staff to update and maintain this site with very little specialized technical knowledge.
